I'm always inspired by your vids andrei! Do you have any tips for how to scout venues like this? Where you do find them?
I'm scouting out interesting locations via Instagram from the other photographers, fellow filmmakers. Sometimes I can find and negotiate for shooting with landlord interiors via airbnb. Nature locations are usually found spontaneously while traveling.
I see everything other than library. I really doubting the title library
Any chance you could make a video on understanding ISO. Your shots are so clean!
Most often recommended ISO on cameras like RED, ALEXA or BM is fixed (800 or 400,1250). Which value you choose will depend on the shooting conditions. You better check my guide on exposure metering, due to ISO makes no sense if you don't have an understanding of how optimal exposure works. Check it: www.andbery.com/Volumetric-Skin-tone.
Quite interesting. Thank you. 🎉
Beyond the masterful technical artistry, this beautiful little film breaks my heart on a level I cannot describe with words. It's ever the cruel fate of the artist's heart to find his love in a muse that cannot be kept.
Автор настолько талантлив, что не может без дыма создать атмосферу... И неважно, подходит он туда или нет. Washed out video look. Dull. Boring.
С дымом как-нибудь разберусь сам как и где его использовать 😉
This looks epic! What lenses did you used for this? Anamorphic?
Thanks! Lomo anamorphic
I just keep watching ur channel mate ur amazing
I press the play button of this video in my smart TV, I couldn't press the stop button. Wonderful and inspiring content! There are nice, informative, interesting, good or very good content in film UA-cam channels, but high quality and inspiring content, very few!
Is your 18% gray 40 IRE measurement on a RAW/LOG output from the RED or is it measured with a LUT applied to Rec.709? The exposure values are different depending on if you are measuring against Log or 709 so I wanted to check to know how to apply these values to my workflow.
It’s a good question. I use native rec 709 lut to check all visual information.

smoke abusing is not cinematic, it is a bad taste
I'm sure you must have amazing taste. Don't waste your time watching UA-cam videos, create something.
woooow! is there also a davinci tutorial on how you graded this footage??
Can we get these type of colours to my theatre film on using benq pd 2706u hdr 10 rec709 99%srgb p3 10 bit monitor along side lgcx hdr oled 65inch tv as secondary display
Why does this video look so foggy and low contrast?
They used a haze machine
I think they overdid it.
What type of monitors do you used for colour grading say can we do colourgrading work on benq pd2706u hdr10 monitor for theatre movie colourgrading say
Your key grip using a wall spreader behind the curtains is a brilliant move! Saving that trick for future use 😮
Beautiful frames & light shaping
by the way my eyes and my brain capture the world, I often wonder how much is done to reproduce this flow with tons of equipment to come at last to another process to rework the material into material, that could please my eyes and brain. in short: why can't you just get what you see? open you eyes.
Awesome dude
Dude, thank you so much. I can't believe I'm just finding your channel now. God bless you sir

it was all a dream
Maravilloso. Creo que a la luz reflejada por el espejo le podía haber sacado más partido.
Просто невероятно
thank you
спасибо большое
This was a good, educational tutorial. Thanks
hey man! what lens did you use here? 5:48
Lomo oks 50mm
Thanks man ♥♥♥
These videos are treasures! Thank you and keep it coming please!
I really appreciated this behind-the-scenes look at some practical lighting techniques for achieving beautiful, cinematic shots on a budget. The demonstration of placing lights near windows and concealing them with curtains was very helpful. It was great to see these concepts applied across different shots. The emphasis on preparation and planning shots in advance seems really valuable for saving time on set.
dude this is amazing. I will definitely take your course.
Thank you!
nice ! did you shoot this in 4444?

I love the lighting and camera movements.
hmmmm...the explanation is better than the lighting.
Nah, what type of lighting you like?, that’s beautiful natural looking soft light, hard to create, control and subtle
@@btorres2269 maybe it's hard to create for you, not for a professional. It's just one possible type of lighting. Nothing special.
Thanks your opinion, anyway I like to share what I have.
@@ANDBERY which is always great for all us and I thank you for that.
What value does this comment bring to the discussion?
LOVING THIS😎🤟
Great work there and thanks for sharing the process . I was waiting for the moment when you’re gonna talk about that house burning shot .... 😅
Thanks :) It was a vfx compositing
@@ANDBERY ohh I see . Just curious, Whether you pulled that off on location only with that Forza 500b or in a studio with more lights ? 😊 thanks It actually looked very convincing and real .
@@atindrabiswasDP In the exterior only, as I showed in the video. Studio - sounds expensive for this art project :)
@@ANDBERY Oh wow! 👏👏 Kudos to you man for pulling that off right there in the exterior with only one light. I was hoping that you did something similer to what Roger dekines did in Skyfall.
beautiful! I'm curious if it was work for yourself or a client.
Thanks! It was a masterclass for my students
Incredible work!
i haven't watched one of your lighting breakdowns in a while but can I just say your english has improved like crazy man. Always appreciate you sharing your work in your second language for us english speakers!
Commented it earlier, I'll reply the same to you :) My English pronunciation is still not cool. I'm using a few AI tools to improve my original voice. And It's a little awkward to collect compliments for this, as I want the correct pronunciation to help maximize comfort in hearing and understanding the material.
either this voice over is ai or your english has improved soooo much!!! So aweomse to watch and listen to !
Hey, my English pronunciation is still so-so. I'm using a few AI tools to improve my original voice. It's a little awkward to collect compliments for this, as I want the correct pronunciation to help maximize comfort in hearing and understanding the material.
@@ANDBERY I completely understand! And yea it does feel awkward lol... From my personal thoughts, I would encourage you, that this is a really great use case... I've personally had a heard time listening to the videos in the past and would find myself doing double takes to re-listen (one could argue that this would certainly help watch time, lol) but in this video I was able to fully listen to the end with no issues. Just want to say thank you for really thinking about your viewers to go the extra mile for this 🙏
@@mfjae Thanks for feedback mate 🤙I appreciate it :)
What are you using for the dolly track? Looks super fast setup haha
Just the track aluminum pipes
What are your thoughts on speedboosters with the Komodo? Do you think it degrades quality? and do you use them?
Never used it, unfortunately
Very helpful
